Fragile and Conflict-Affected States and Situations (FCAS)

Transtec operates in Fragile and Conflict-Affected States and Situations (FCAS) supporting the initiatives of Official Agencies at any stage of the cycle concurring to build lasting peace and poverty alleviation in war-torn societies.

By internalizing the concept of post-conflict peacebuilding as defined in 1992 by the United Nations in “An Agenda for Peace: preventive diplomacy, peacemaking and peacekeeping”, Transtec is converted into one of the key actors to insource the design and implement the complete post conflict peacebuilding cycle for civilian actions:


  • Mediation, ceasefires and peacebuilding
  • Demobilizing and reintegrating combatants
  • Fighting the proliferation of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW)
  • Struggling against trafficking of human beings and sexual violence and promotion of women rights
  • Mine actions
  • Assisting the return of refugees and displaced persons
  • Supporting Justice, Rule of Law (RoL)
  • Security Sector Reform (SSR)
  • Enhancing human rights protections and fostering reconciliation
  • Helping organize and monitor elections of a new government
